Just in case anyone was wondering what has been going on with Derek Farmer and his “crop” Jim Corn, I thought we’d peek in on them during the holidays. A Merry Christmas to one and all!
Hi Gang,
Here’s a belated Halloween treat, in case you were wondering what’s been going on with Derek Farmer and his vegetable/pet/friend Jim Corn.
Hi Cornsters! Here’s hoping that Jim has been missed while he was away! Let’s just think of this point on as “Season 2.”
For those who read The Amaizing Jim Corn facebook posts, you’ve already seen that I’ve been doing a bit of oil painting lately. For those who haven’t, Chuck Swine was kind enough to pose for me while I painted his portrait. I see myself buying a very elaborate frame for this one (and hanging it behind the door in a bathroom).
Also, I wanted to let everyone know that August 4th from 10am – 5pm, you can meet me and a bunch of other wacky web cartoonists at STRIP – The Dallas Webcomics Expo! It will held at the Southfork Hotel in Plano, TX. DON’T MISS IT! Mention you heard about this at The Amaizing Jim Corn and I’ll draw you a Jim Corn character sketch gratis! (That means FREE!) Hope to see you there!
Hi Cornfritters! I’m back from my vacation (aka goofing off) and now Jim Corn is going to get a little spooky these next few weeks! Also, I became a Lego maniac and wanted to show everyone my cube-like corn creation. Readers who voted for Jim Corn at TopWebComics.com got to see this several weeks ago. I now have a few cartoon surprises to show you that will never be seen on this site, so be sure to cast your vote!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by during this first full year of The Amaizing Jim Corn! Your comments and encouragements have been greatly appreciated. I’ve got some fun plans and new characters in store for Jim in 2012, so I look forward to “seeing” you back here at JimCornComic.com. Happy New Year!
PS – Though Jim is not wearing an official Illinois helmet, you can see where my allegiances lie. I’ll be watching Illinois beat UCLA in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl (Dec. 31 at 3:30 central time on ESPN).
